ZOOPUNKIA! 2-Part Planter Workshop

 Make your own ZOOPUNKIA! inspired ceramic planters in a guided workshop with the artist, Amy Li-chuan Chang. After your creation has been fired, drop by our studio to decorate it with fresh potted plants and small decorations, in a guided workshop by Arbutus Florist. This price accounts for two workshops.

Chang, who is known for her innovative creations involving reimagined mechanical creatures. Dismayed by the current environmental situation, she often visualizes a dystopian future in which characters of biological and mechanical traits are the solution to cleaning up the world. These creatures are partly comprised of nuts and bolts, with some made up of pipes and gears. They are futuristic and whimsical in their earth-saving capabilities, providing some much needed comic relief in these stressful times and a gentle reminder that we shouldn’t leave the work to these make-believe characters and rather, do our part as real capable humans.
